As if I wasn’t spoiled enough in California, with an unseasonably warm winter, I felt the need to hit up Hawaii for the Ocean Sciences Meeting in Honolulu. Ocean Sciences is a joined meeting for the American Geophysical Union, Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, and the Oceanography Society. This isn’t my usual crowd, being a coastal marine ecologist, but there were many sessions on climate change and even a half session on Invasive Species (oddly joined with Harmful Algal Blooms).
It was meant to be a short conference for me though, I arrived back in the bay area just in time to get soaked by some much needed rain.
